Workshop four: Environmental decision making and democracy + handbook, organised by Collegium Civitas, Warsaw, Poland.
The aim of the workshop held in Poland from 25th to 29th September 2017 is twofold. It aims at discussing the environmental decision making and democracy procedure, but the second part of the activity also sums up all the gathered materials and focusses on case studies from 5 countries (overviews and different discipline approaches) to prepare the handbook, which will combine the topics such as: ecology and environmental protection, decision making processes, ecosystem services, governance and environmental law, social, economic and cultural issues, urban planning and sustainability, environmental education/ teaching sustainability (sustainability as an igredients in academic teaching is an interesting angle).
Workshop three: Environmental education, training tools and building support for teachers organised by Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic
The aim of the workshop held in Czech Republic from 24th to 28th April 2017 is to discuss different pedagogical approaches and experiences regarding the inclusion of the issue of sustainability in environmental education curricula already existing in partner countries; to discuss country-specific situation in environmental education with the focus on the role of universities; to discuss goals, content and methods of environmental education courses and specific needs of different types of their students (in service teachers, pre-service teachers, free-choice educators, lecturers, interpreters, researchers, free-lancers, etc.) and to discuss opportunities for promoting environmental education research conducted by the universities.
Workshop two: Ecosystem Services, Geoethics and Biodiversity organised by University of Porto, Portugal
From 28th November to 2nd December 2016 took place the second workshop in the framework of the WISE project, organized by the Portuguese partner at the University of Porto. The aim of the workshop is an exchange the knowledge and good practices of all partners in the fields of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
Workshop one: Train the trainers + ecosystems organised by Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden
From 16th to 20th May 2016 took place the first workshop in the framework of the WISE project, organised by the Swedish partner at the University of Uppsala. The aim of the workshop was an exchange of the knowledge and the experiences on different types of studies, concrete tools and methods of the realisation of the interdisciplinarity in Higher Education concerning the environment and the sustainable development.
